ALBUM RELEASE: STUART ROBERTSON | The Furthest Shelter

Stuart Robertson: The Furthest Shelter

The culmination of 2 years writing and recording in the USA and United Kingdom, The Furthest Shelter is a beautifully crafted album ranging from breezy jazz numbers to piano instrumentals and underlines Stuart Robertson as one of the finest new songwriters in his genre.

Opening perfectly with the cool, clever and subtly melancholic Uniforms each of the album’s 11 tracks effortlessly switches tone and mood whilst maintaining a light, laid back theme throughout. With smooth vocals, unique instrumentation (the chirpy melodica in Yakutsk is inspired) and slick arrangements, the album consistently captures Stuart’s excellent piano work along with wonderful cello and string arrangements in Reveal, Porcupine and the title track.

Written, recorded, and produced by Stuart Robertson, The Furthest Shelter is a truly outstanding debut album.
